- My Senegal Parrot, Kili, performs some of her tricks here. She does wave, shake, nod, turn around, wings, and hello. When I say hello she says hello back to me and waves at the same time. While I did teach her to wave to the word "wave," I never taught her to wave in response to "hello." She came up with that on her own. I think it's because people would wave at her and say hello so she figured she has to say hello and wave back. I thought this was cute so I continued to encourage her to wave when she says hello.
